The book is a thorough study of Islam, doctrinal and creedal materials, besides its social, penal, commercial, ritualistic, and ceremonial matters.; Ram Swarup (1919-1998) graduated from the University of Delhi in 1941 and had been an original writer and thinker ever since. He participated in his country’s struggle for independence, courting imprisonment. For some years, he was a close associate of British-born Mira Behn (Miss Slade), Mahatma Gandhi’s adopted daughter. In the fifties, he led a movement warning against the growing danger which international communism presented to the newly won freedom of the country. Around 1957, he took to a life of meditation and spiritual reflection, and since then he had made a deep study of the scriptures of different religious traditions. Ram Swarup was a noted writer in many fields. His previous books and brochures include Communism and Peasantry: Implications of Collectivist Agriculture of Asian Countries, Foundations of Maoism, and Buddhism vis-a-vis Hinduism. His Gandhism and Communism stressed the need to raise the struggle against communism from a military to a moral and ideological level. The brochure caught the attention of several US Congressmen, and some of its ideas were adopted by the Eisenhower administration in its agenda for the Geneva Conference in 1955. His Gandhian Economics, small but seminal, shows that the present industrial production system suffers from circularity, a deep internal technological contradiction-coal, and iron, and a hundred other commodities symbolized by them, producing and consuming one another in a crescendo, round and round. His magnum opus, The Word As Revelation: Names of Gods, is on Linguistics, Philosophy, Vedic exegesis, and Yoga. It shows how a religion of `many Gods’ represents authentic spirituality.

सनातन वह जीवनदर्शन है, जो प्रकृति को वश में करने का समर्थन नहीं करता। यों तो प्रकृति को पराजित करके उस पर कब्जा करना संभव नहीं। मगर इस तरह की सोच आसुरी चिंतन है, जबकि सनातन दैवीय चिंतन है। यहाँ इंद्रियों को वश में करने की बात होती है। सनातन लेने की नहीं देने की संस्कृति है। सनातन मृत नहीं, जीवंत है। स्थिर नहीं, सतत है। जड़ नहीं चैतन्य है। सनातन जीवनदर्शन भौतिक, शारीरिक, पारिवारिक, सामाजिक से ऊपर उठकर आत्मिक, आध्यात्मिक और भावनात्मक स्तर पर भी संतुष्ट करता है। यह उपभोग की नहीं उपयोग की संस्कृति है। यह लाभ-लोभ की नहीं, त्याग की संस्कृति है। यह भोग की नहीं, मोक्ष की संस्कृति है। यह बाँधता नहीं, मुक्त करता है।
सनातन हिंदू, भक्षक नहीं, प्रकृति रक्षक होता है। वैदिक सनातन हिंदुत्व एक प्रकृति संरक्षक संस्कृति है। ‘मैं सनातनी हूँ’ कहने का अर्थ ही होता है ‘मैं प्रकृति का पुजारी हूँ’।
सनातन जीवनदर्शन दानव को मानव बनाता है, मानव को देवता और देवता को ईश्वर के रूप में स्थापित कर देता है।
सनातन सिर्फ स्वयं की बात नहीं करता, सदा विश्व की बात करता है। सिर्फ आज की बात नहीं करता, बीते हुए कल का विश्लेषण कर आने वाले कल के लिए तैयार करता है। इसलिए शाश्वत है, निरंतर है। आधुनिक मानव को सनातन के इस मूल मंत्र को पकड़ना होगा, तभी हम सनातन जीवनदर्शन को समझ पाएँगे।

‘अनंत शयन संस्कृत ग्रंथावली’ के तीसवाँ (३०) अंक का प्रसिद्ध ‘वास्तु विद्या’ का यह द्वितीय संस्करण है। यह ११०६वें वर्ष (कोलंबाब्द) में आरम्मुळ वासुदेव मूस महाशय से प्राप्त वास्तु विद्या का केरल भाषा में लिखित व्याख्या के आधार पर, इसी ग्रंथालय में तात्कालिक अध्यक्ष, श्री महादेव शास्त्री के द्वारा प्रस्तुत लघु विवृत्ति नाम के व्याख्यान को अर्थ स्पष्टीकरण के लिए संयोजित किया है। वास्तु संबंधी ज्ञान इस ग्रंथ से प्राप्त हो, अतः इसका ‘वास्तु विद्या’, संज्ञा करण समुचित लगता है।
और यह ‘साधन कथन’ से आरंभ होकर, ‘मृल्लोष्ट विधान’ तक सोलह अध्यायों में सगुंफित है। ग्रंथ के सोलहवें अध्याय के अंत में, समाप्ति प्रकटन का कोई दूसरा वाक्य उपलब्ध नहीं है। ‘इति वास्तु विद्या समाप्त’, ऐसा दृश्यमान होने पर भी—
“दारुस्वीकरणं वक्ष्ये निधिगेहस्य लक्षणे।”
(अध्याय १३)
अर्थात् निधि गेह के लक्षण में दारु ग्रहण (लकड़ी का चयन) करना बताऊँगा।
इस प्रकार ग्रंथकर्ता के ‘दारुस्वीकरण’ आदि स्वयं की वचनबद्धता से बोध के अभाव से (अज्ञानता या भ्रम के कारण) लेखक के द्वारा (‘इति वास्तु विद्या समाप्त’ ऐसा) लिखित होना संभावित होता है।

Vasudeva Krishna and Mathura
This work examines the antiquity of image worship in India. Its main focus is the Bhagavata religion that evolved around Vasudeva Krishna of the Vrishni clan. The earliest literary reference to Vasudeva was by the grammarian Panini (6th century bce), and the earliest surviving epigraphic reference was the Heliodorus pillar inscription (2nd century bce). At Mathura, several noteworthy archaeological finds dated to the early Common Era were recovered from the site of Katra Keshavadeva.
In the medieval period, Katra Keshavadeva was subjected to repeated devastation, beginning with that by Mahmud Ghaznavi in 1071 ce. However, within a century a temple dedicated to Vishnu was built at Katra Keshavadeva. Thereafter, the story of destruction followed by construction was repeated over and over again.
In the early 17th century, the Keshavadeva temple was rebuilt by Bir Singh Deo Bundela. In 1670, the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb ordered its destruction. An Idgah was built at the site.
Later developments at Katra Keshavadeva were recorded in the judicial records of colonial India. In 1815, Katra Keshavadeva was sold by auction to Raja Patnimal of Banaras, as was duly recorded in revenue and municipal records.
On 8th February 1944, the heirs of Raja Patnimal sold Katra Keshavadeva to Seth Jugal Kishore Birla, who created a trust for the construction of a temple for Shree Krishna. In a surprising development, on 12th October 1968, approximately two bighas of Katra Keshavadeva were handed over to Trust Masjid Idgah.
Many documents pertaining to events at Katra Keshavadeva after 1815 are perhaps being presented to the general reader for the first time. The documents attest to the dogged Hindu commitment to the site.

मनुस्मृति पर अनुसंधान करने के पश्चात्, डॉ. सुरेन्द्र कुमार जी ने मनुस्मृति के दो संस्करण प्रकाशित किये हैं, जिनकें नाम क्रमशः – विशुद्ध मनुस्मृति और मनुस्मृति है। दोनों संस्करणों में प्रक्षिप्त श्लोकों पर विचार प्रस्तुत किया है और प्रयास किया गया है कि पाठकों के समक्ष मनुस्मृति के वास्तविक सिद्धान्त दृष्टिगोचर हो। अपितु दोनों संस्करण बहुत ही महत्त्वपूर्ण और पठनीय है, किन्तु इनमें जो मौलिक भेद है, उनमें से कुछ का उल्लेख निम्न पंक्तियों में करते हैं – – विशुद्ध मनुस्मृति में सभी प्रक्षिप्त श्लोकों को पृथक कर केवल मनु के मौलिक श्लोकों को ही प्रकाशित किया गया है। – मनुस्मृति में सभी उपलब्ध श्लोकों को रखा गया है किन्तु जो श्लोक प्रक्षिप्त है उनकें प्रछिप्त होने की समीक्षा भी की गई है। – विशुद्ध मनुस्मृति में श्लोकों की व्यवस्था, इस प्रकार की गई है कि पाठकों को मनु के उपदेशों को अविरलरूप से पढ़ने का आनन्द प्राप्त हो। – मनुस्मृति में श्लोकों को इस प्रकार रखा गया है कि पाठक प्रक्षिप्त और मौलिक श्लोकों में भेद कर तुलनात्मक अध्ययन करने में सक्षम होवें।

He was the eldest brother of Pandavas but also a father like figure for them. He lived his life to uphold principles of dharma and also left this world while protecting dharma. Yudhishthir inspires the humanity to follow Dharma. When Yudhishthir is respected then, automatically people will be inspired to follow dharma in all spheres of life, especially, politics.
