Hanuman Chalisa is a devotional hymn written in praise of Lord Hanuman which millions of Hindus know by heart and recite every day. He was a professor of English in Delhi University and has translated the shayari of Ghalib, Faiz, Iqbal, Sahir and several other renowned Urdu poets into English.
