Pichwai – a Rajasthani Indian folk art, originated 400 yrs years ago in Nathdwara.
Pichwai paintings were traditionally hung behind idols of Lord Shrinathji (Krishna) in temples, and were used as a visual means of narrating tales/stories from his life.
This hand made painting depicts the celestial cow symbolizing purity and abundance, a source of prosperity and success. Kamdhenu is skilfully intertwined with Kamal Talai, which symbolises river bank of Yamuna where Lord Krishna spent much of his childhood with Gopis, in the land of Vrindavan.
Best suitable for wall decor in the living room, temple room or around dinning area as it adds an eccentric and antique touch to your room.
